Nowadays phones are an integral part of our lives. We all know the distractions that phones can serve as, but they still have a main purpose – to make our lives easier and more efficient. With an array of apps to choose from, I’ve found some amazing ones that I would love to share with you all.
So my last post was all about how I cope with my eczema. It’s always a relief to finally have it under control. But that is just one of the steps. After a fairly bad flare up the aftermath can be rather ugly. Anyone who has eczema can tell you about the annoying thing that is: eczema scars. After finally getting your skin back to normal, you’re still plagued with these unsightly reminders of your recent flare up. So I thought I would share with you all how to slowly (but surely) get rid of them.
I am a snacker. I have been my whole life. It’s just become habitual for me to always be munching on something – which is probably not the best. However, there is a way to snack without doing too much damage. In fact, snacking keeps your metabolism flowing and can be quite beneficial if you stick to healthy options. So I thought I’d share with you some of my (healthy) guilty pleasures.
Another week has came and gone…and it’s time for another #Skincare Sunday. This post is a little more personal for me. From a young age I have suffered from eczema, and my close friends know that it’s something that I am very insecure about. If you don’t know what eczema is, it is a condition that causes your skin to be dry, irritated, and inflamed. You often get patches/rashes on various parts of your body that itch horribly. Not only is it uncomfortable, but it also can be unsightly to other people who don’t know that it isn’t contagious. Eczema doesn’t have a cure, but there are ways to tame it. I recently had the worst flare up in my life during my first semester of college. It really took a toll on my confidence (my roommate had to endure several emotional breakdowns), but I was able to get it back under control. So I thought I would share with you my current regimen that I use to prevent flare ups. My skin is so much happier now 🙂
I’ve been feeling rather posty lately, so I hope y’all like it. One of my family members is on a juicing diet, (which I wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless you have been medically advised to do so). However, it’s good for a snack/pick me up. I tried the juice that he’s been drinking and it is actually really good. It’s comprised of several vegetables and “superfoods.” Who knew vegetables could actually taste good? So I decided to share with you all a quick recipe for it. It’s great for a morning pick me up 🙂
Hi guys! I hope y’all have enjoyed your weekend. It’s time for another #SkincareSunday post so I thought I’d give y’all something different. Your lips are a sensitive part of your skin that people often forget. This summer is slowly but surely coming to an end. However, I thought that I’d share with you my summer lipcare routine. Dry, crusty lips are never a good look. So if you want to see how I get soft, kissable lips keep on reading!
Hi guys! As this week is coming to and end, I hope you all are doing well. Hopefully the weekend gave you time to rest and recuperate for another work-week. Right now I have a series called #SkinCareSunday and I decided to give you all some tips for getting clear, radiant skin today. All of these things I have personally done and seen success from!
P.S. — sorry for the late post. I’ve had a quite jam packed weekend, and didn’t get to blogging til later tonight. I attended the Sam Smith concert yesterday, which was amazing. I definitely would recommend that you buy a ticket for his tour. He is an absolutely wonderful performer.
So now let’s get started 🙂
This week has flown by, and it’s great to be on the flip side. It’s a blessing to have almost gotten through another week. Life can be very stressful sometimes. When it comes to jobs, school, family, or just any normal life stuff, things can begin to get very overwhelming. But you can’t let that discourage you. I used to get very upset about little stuff and would have mental breakdowns (most college students do). However, I’ve learned to cope with life’s unexpected challenges a lot better than I used to. So I thought I would share with you all some ways to de-stress and increase your overall happiness.
I hope your week has gone wonderfully! I thought I would start a new series called #SkincareSundays. Skin can be the ultimate indicator of health. Most of the time, we associate glowing, ethereal skin with an healthy inside. It’s also the first thing people see when they encounter you! However, it’s not always the easiest to tame. I’ve never encountered anyone who hasn’t struggled at some point in their life with their skin! But I’ve gotten to a place where I have a routine that works like clockwork. So for this first #SkincareSunday post I’m sharing with you all my skin routine.
I hope you’ve been having a great week following the holiday weekend. It’s crazy to think that it’s July. I was thinking about how near the new school year is! I go back to college in a little more than a month. I figured that many of y’all would be doing back to school shopping soon- whether it’s for you or your children. So the control freak in me figured I would show you some of my favorite planners. Organization is the key to keeping things straight. Whether you are juggling school, work, or children, using a planner can making things run a lot more smoothly. And if you’re anything like me, you’ll get a hint of satisfaction out of writing cute little aesthetically pleasing notes and appointments in your crisp, pristine planner. These are not the end all be all when it comes to planners! Target & Wal Mart have some awesome ones that serve their purpose for great prices (I should know I’ve used them for years). However, I have begun to like planners that have a little more detailing & style to them. They’re written in order from highest price to lowest price 🙂 So let’s get started!
