Quick Green Juice Recipe

Hi guys!

I’ve been feeling rather posty lately, so I hope y’all like it. One of my family members is on a juicing diet, (which I wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless you have been medically advised to do so). However, it’s good for a snack/pick me up. I tried the juice that he’s been drinking and it is actually really good. It’s comprised of several vegetables and “superfoods.” Who knew vegetables could actually taste good? So I decided to share with you all a quick recipe for it. It’s great for a morning pick me up 🙂

Hi guys! As this week is coming to and end, I hope you all are doing well. Hopefully the weekend gave you time to rest and recuperate for another work-week. Right now I have a series called #SkinCareSunday and I decided to give you all some tips for getting clear, radiant skin today. All of these things I have personally done and seen success from!

P.S. — sorry for the late post. I’ve had a quite jam packed weekend, and didn’t get to blogging til later tonight. I attended the Sam Smith concert yesterday, which was amazing. I definitely would recommend that you buy a ticket for his tour. He is an absolutely wonderful performer.

5 Ways to Increase Happiness

Hi guys!

This week has flown by, and it’s great to be on the flip side. It’s a blessing to have almost gotten through another week. Life can be very stressful sometimes. When it comes to jobs, school, family, or just any normal life stuff, things can begin to get very overwhelming. But you can’t let that discourage you. I used to get very upset about little stuff and would have mental breakdowns (most college students do). However, I’ve learned to cope with life’s unexpected challenges a lot better than I used to. So I thought I would share with you all some ways to de-stress and increase your overall happiness.

#SkincareSunday : My Dry Skin Routine

Hi guys!

I hope your week has gone wonderfully! I thought I would start a new series called #SkincareSundays. Skin can be the ultimate indicator of health. Most of the time, we associate glowing, ethereal skin with an healthy inside. It’s also the first thing people see when they encounter you! However, it’s not always the easiest to tame. I’ve never encountered anyone who hasn’t struggled at some point in their life with their skin! But I’ve gotten to a place where I have a routine that works like clockwork. So for this first #SkincareSunday post I’m sharing with you all my skin routine.

How I Stay Organized: My Favorite Planners

Hi guys!

I hope you’ve been having a great week following the holiday weekend. It’s crazy to think that it’s July. I was thinking about how near the new school year is! I go back to college in a little more than a month. I figured that many of y’all would be doing back to school shopping soon- whether it’s for you or your children. So the control freak in me figured I would show you some of my favorite planners. Organization is the key to keeping things straight. Whether you are juggling school, work, or children, using a planner can making things run a lot more smoothly. And if you’re anything like me, you’ll get a hint of satisfaction out of writing cute little aesthetically pleasing notes and appointments in your crisp, pristine planner. These are not the end all be all when it comes to planners! Target & Wal Mart have some awesome ones that serve their purpose for great prices (I should know I’ve used them for years). However, I have begun to like planners that have a little more detailing & style to them. They’re written in order from highest price to lowest price 🙂 So let’s get started!

Fourth of July: My Trip to Asheville, NC

Hi guys,

I hope y’all had a great food-filled holiday! Fourth of July is the prime opportunity for my family to get together so we always try to make the best out of it. Usually we barbecue at my grandpa’s house in Tennessee, but we decided to have a bit of a change in scenery. Instead, we ventured out to Asheville, North Carolina, and rented a cabin in the mountains. It was a lovely experience and I would absolutely recommend Asheville to anyone who wants to have a quick weekend getaway. I decided to share a synopsis and some of my photos from this brief vacation with y’all so let’s get started:

We were only there for a few days so we didn’t get to do much, but luckily we got to visit a place I’ve been dying to see for quite some time: The Biltmore Estate. I have always taken a particular interest in architecture and real estate so touring this historical house was heaven for me. “House” may be an inappropriate name for it- “castle” seems more suitable. A brief background on the Biltmore Estate…

It is the largest home in the United States at 178,926 sq. feet and 250 rooms. The estate has about 8,000 acres of land, including a rather ethereal garden and a winery. At its largest, it was about 3x the size of D.C. (my shuttle driver told me this). So now that you have some context, without further adieu, here is The Biltmore Estate:

One of My Favorite Books: The Untethered Soul

Hi guys,

I hope you all have been having a lovely blessed summer. I’ve been MIA for this past week due to family, traveling, work, and other life stuff. But I am back and ready to roll now. I recently got a library card, and I’ve been in absolute heaven lately checking out books. I’ve always been an avid reader, but sometimes I get so caught up in life and school that I end up pushing it aside for awhile. I’ve made the conscious decision to make time to read again, and I thought I would share with you all one of my favorite books. It is called The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself by Michael A. Singer. It is a #1 New York Times Bestseller! If you like Self-Improvement books then I would highly recommend it!!!

The synopsis of the book says “What would it be like to be free from limitations and soar beyond your boundaries? What could you do each day to find this kind of inner peace and freedom? The Untethered Soul offers a simple, profoundly intuitive answer to these questions. Whether this is your first exploration of inner space or you’ve devoted your life to the inward journey, this book will transform your relationship with yourself and the world around you.”
