I’ve been working on giving y’all a workout that can be used in a variety of settings. It all started after I had a conversation with one of my friends about why she doesn’t go to the gym. People often assume that if you don’t go to the gym then you’re simply lazy. But that’s not always the case. A lot of people I know, particularly women, don’t like the gym because they fear being judged, hit on, or looking like they don’t know what they’re doing. A classic case of gymtimidation. Plus a lot of gyms have that “look at me,” competitive atmosphere that not everyone likes. (Not hating on you if you go to the gym- I definitely go). Gym memberships can be pricey for folks sometimes too (Broke college students like me definitely understand that). So often times, at home workouts can be the most reasonable and convenient.
